The Gwent Gazette Report - Beaufort Vs Trefil

Honours were even at the end of Beaufort's second trial against long standing rival Trefil RFC. Both scored two tries apiece (Matthew Burrows and Paul Francis) with one conversion (Dilwyn Smith) and both teams gave a decent account of themselves in typically tenacious commitment and effort.

Beaufort suffered one injury worry to Lee Hazlewood, who twisted an ankle early on. But apart from this most of its squad had a run out without further casualty worries.

It was a testing encounter from their arch rivals before the league season begins at home against Crickhowell RFC.

In other news
Beaufort RFC was honoured to have a guest appearance of Anne (Eeh eeh eeh) of Little Britain fame at our exclusive Sunday Club.
Longstanding member of Beaufort RFC, Mr David Leyshon regrettably had to spurn her amorous advantages because his sunday roast was in danger of getting cold.

We all ought to try to change the image of rugby from that of a game for thugs, Beaufort an excellent example. This can be moved forward by the illustrious Glyn 'monster' Moon writing his blog using standard english and not using 'texttalk'.
